Dr. Tahir Yunus MBBS, DABS, FACS, FASMBS graduated from the King Edward Medical University and then completed the American Board of Surgery training and certification at the William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak Michigan. He completed advanced subspecialized training in Advanced Laparoscopic and Bariatric surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. He further completed the American Board of Obesity Medicine certification to be an expert in laparoscopic and bariatric surgery. He has done over 3500 surgeries and has more than 10 years of experience as consultant surgeon at the International Medical Center in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where he was also as the chairman of surgery, chairman of operating rooms, and director of surgical quality. He is a master trainer for laparoscopic and bariatric surgery and has now moved to Pakistan to provide his services. He is an expert in bariatric weight loss surgery and upper gastrointestinal surgery such as for the treatment of acid reflux disease, hiatal hernia, acidity and achalasia. He performs laparoscopic gallbladder, spleen and appendix surgery as well as advanced laparoscopic hernia repairs and laparoscopic cancer surgery for colon and adrenal gland tumors.
