🚨🗣️ is one of the most aggressive cancers worldwide and often goes unnoticed in its early stages. It commonly occurs in people with long-standing, untreated gallstones and is usually diagnosed only after it has spread to other organs, limiting treatment options.

👉 Symptoms such as abdominal pain, jaundice, itching, unexplained weight loss, or loss of appetite should never be ignored – seek medical advice promptly. When detected early, gallbladder cancer can be treated surgically, with a survival rate of up to 70–80%.

Dr. Faisal Dar (Leading Liver Transplant Surgeon)

Being a pioneer of liver transplantation in Pakistan Dr. Faisal Dar works for New Life Health Services at Quaid-e-Azam International Hospital, Islamabad. As a leading liver transplant surgeon, he has successfully completed more than 1100 living donor transplant surgeries in Pakistan.

Alumni of Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore. Dr. Dar completed his fellowship in general surgery, followed by FRCS in Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. This was followed by Fellowship in Liver Transplantation/Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Surgery from Kings College Hospital, London, UK. He is also a fellow of the European Board of Transplant Surgery (FEBTS — Transplant Surgery). After completing his training at King’s College Hospital, London, with successful completion of Liver Transplants (both cadaveric and living) Dr. Dar decided to return to Pakistan to start a liver transplant program in Pakistan. He joined Shifa International Hospital, Islamabad. It was a very challenging task because of infrastructural constraints and no trained human resource was available. Once embarked upon this challenge It took him almost 16 months to train and develop a local team before the first successful liver transplant was done on 30th April 2011 at Shifa International Hospital, Islamabad. This was the beginning of a new journey in Pakistan’s medical history.
