We are excited to share the highlights of the first day of the *BAPES Hands-On Laparoscopic Skills Workshop*, a key initiative in building capacity and enhancing surgical skills in *Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS)*. Organized in collaboration with **BAPES, APSP, and PPA**, the workshop is hosted by the *Department of Paediatric Surgery* at the University of Child Health Sciences and The Children’s Hospital, Lahore.
This workshop stands out for its unique approach, offering a near-real surgical experience through hands-on sessions in a veterinary lab, utilizing rabbit and goat hepatobiliary systems. This provides participants with a rare opportunity to practice critical laparoscopic skills in a dynamic, controlled environment.
For the first time ever, this workshop is being held at this prestigious hospital, and it’s only the second time such an event has been organized in Punjab. Both occasions have been proudly hosted and organized by the *Department of Paediatric Surgery at The Children’s Hospital, Lahore*.
Day 1 featured enlightening talks from master trainers, live surgical video demonstrations, and intensive hands-on training. The response from participants and trainers has been overwhelmingly positive, with praise for the workshop's innovation and practical value.
Stay tuned for more updates from this groundbreaking event!
