Saida Waheed FMH College of Nursing (SWCON) organized the Orientation Ceremony of the BS Nursing Program (4-Years) for Morning and Evening Sessions 2026 at Fatima Memorial Hospital, warmly welcoming newly admitted nursing students into the profession.
The ceremony was attended by senior leadership and distinguished guests, including Mrs. Shahima Tariq Rehman, Patron of Nursing; Prof. Dr. Tayyab Abbas, Principal, School of Health Sciences, NUR-FMS; Mrs. Farzana Iqbal, Controller, Nursing Examination Board Punjab, who graced the occasion as Chief Guest; Prof. Misbah Zafar, Director Academic Nursing, SWCON; and Mr. Mansoor Jamal Butt, Group Head Operations, FMH.
Addressing the students, the speakers highlighted the legacy of the Fatima Memorial System, its long-standing commitment to excellence in healthcare and education, and the critical role of nurses as compassionate caregivers and frontline leaders in the healthcare system. Emphasis was placed on professionalism, ethical practice, lifelong learning, and patient-centered care as core values of the nursing profession.
