Research shows that starting the day with even a few minutes of calm reduces cortisol spikes, which are naturally highest in the morning. When your body isn’t rushed immediately, your brain shifts out of threat mode and into a regulated state. This improves mood, focus, emotional control, and overall resilience throughout the day.
