Thank you so much to everyone who joined our webinar titled "Let's See Addiction Through Understanding, Not Judgment نشہ ایک مرض، نہ کہ جرم ." We are truly grateful for your time and engagement. Your interest made this session meaningful and impactful.

Here are some video clips and pictures capturing the memorable moments from the webinar. These visuals reflect the engaging conversation and the collective spirit of learning and compassion we fostered.

Key Learnings from the Webinar
1. Addiction affects the brain, not just behaviour.
It alters brain chemistry, decision making and impulse control, which is why treatment and understanding are essential.

2. Addiction is a health condition, not a crime.
Just like any other illness, it requires compassion, not punishment.

3. Stigma makes recovery harder.
Negative labels and shame push people deeper into secrecy and isolation. Empathy can bring them closer to help.

4. Supportive groups, communities and families make a difference.
Community and family attitudes, communication and early recognition can change the entire recovery journey.

5. Healing begins with awareness and understanding.
Healing is rooted in recognizing and accepting the reality of the situation. By cultivating awareness and approaching others with compassion, we create a foundation for growth and recovery to take hold.

Thank you once again for being a part of this webinar.
Together, let’s continue spreading awareness, breaking stigma and supporting those who need understanding the most. 💊

No Importance of Mental Health In Pakistan

In this short video, I, Sidra Nasir (Psychologist, Lecturer, Mind Science Trainer & Chairperson AWC) talk about why mental health is equally important as physical health — yet often ignored. One major reason is that mental health struggles aren’t always visible, unlike physical injuries. It’s time we start giving our minds the same care and attention we give our bodies.

In this emotional video, we reflect on the heartbreaking story of Humaira Asghar, a talented Pakistani model who was found dead in her apartment after being alone for several months. Her tragic end underscores a critical societal issue — the importance of caring for our elderly and vulnerable members of society.
We also explore the broader implications of loneliness among seniors and those living in old age homes. Nobody should have to face life’s struggles in isolation. It’s a wake-up call for all of us to foster compassion, community, and support for those who need it most.
Let’s remember that no one should be left alone in their final days. Together, we can build a more caring and connected society.
Don’t forget to like and spread awareness!
