ERCP: CBD پتھری کا آپریشن

ERCP ایک ایسا جدید طریقہ علاج ہے جس میں اینڈوسکوپ (ایک پتلی، لچکدار نلی) کے ذریعے منہ سے داخل ہو کر پت کی نالی (بائل ڈکٹ) میں موجود پتھری کو نکالا جاتا ہے۔ اس میں کھلے آپریشن (چیرا لگانے) کی ضرورت نہیں پڑتی۔

ERCP کیوں کی جاتی ہے؟

جب پت کی نالی (CBD) میں پتھری پھنس جاتی ہے تو یہ مندرجہ ذیل مسائل کا سبب بن سکتی ہے:

· پیٹ کے بالائی حصے میں شدید درد (خاص طور پر کھانے کے بعد)
· یرقان (جلد اور آنکھوں کا پیلا پڑنا)
· بخار اور کپکپی
· متلی اور قے
· لبلبے کی سوزش (پینکریاٹائٹس)

ان علامات کو دور کرنے اور سنگین پیچیدگیوں سے بچنے کے لیے ERCP کی جاتی ہے

Patient with history of cholecystectomy and ercp with plastic Stenting due to CBD stones 2 yrs back, presented with obstructive jaundice, cholangitis 2nd to stent blockage and recurrence of CBD stones in CBD and remnant cystic duct. ERCP done, stent removed and stones retrieved not only from CBD as well as from cystic duct.
