On February 3, 2026, the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at GTTH took a major step forward in surgical education .We were honored to host a comprehensive *Hysteroscopy Workshop* . The event commenced with insightful lectures delivered by _Prof. Dr. Fozia Umber Qureshi and Prof. Dr. Razia Ghafoor from HLH,_ providing a strong theoretical foundation.
​Participants engaged in an in-depth exploration of both foundational and advanced hysteroscopic techniques. A major highlight of the day was the performance of six live hysteroscopy surgeries in the Gynaecology OT, where attendees witnessed complex theory translated into real-time clinical precision.
​The afternoon session was dedicated to supervised hands-on practice, allowing medical professionals to refine the technical skills essential for superior patient care in women’s health. At Ghurki, knowledge sharing and professional development remain at the core of our mission. We extend our deepest gratitude to our facilitators and attendees for setting new benchmarks in minimally invasive surgery.

🏥 *Advancing Excellence in Reproductive Health*

On 17th December, 2025 Gynaecology Department of Ghurki Trust teaching hospital organized the *Subfertility and IUI Workshop* under supervision of Head of department Prof Fozia Umber Qureshi.
This event brought together leading experts to share transformative insights into assisted reproduction.
​Our esteemed chief guest Professor Ahmed Waseem Yousaf and speakers, including Dr. Saima Jabeen, and Prof. Shabnam Tahir, delivered masterclasses on optimizing IUI from A to Z. The day was highlighted by Hands-On Session, where participants refined their skills in semen preparation and insemination techniques.
​We believe that seeking knowledge is a noble pursuit, and we pray that these skills become a source of hope and joy for many families. Heartfelt congratulations to all participants on receiving their certifications! Alhamdulillah for a day of immense learning and professional growth.

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ghurki Trust Teaching Hospital, Lahore took a wonderful initiative and conducted a very informative skill development workshop on Manual Vacuum Aspiration, an alternative procedure to Electric Vacuum Aspiration/Dilatation and Curettage, used in women with early miscarriages and blighted ovum/anembryonic gestation.
The key feature in workshop was one to one hands on practice for all the participants. It was highly appreciated and eagerly attended by the whole Gynae department including senior registrars, post graduate residents, house officers and final year medical students.
Such workshops are the stakeholder of learning programs and will be regularly conducted in future.
