🧠 Stroke Rehabilitation in ActionIn this video, I’m working with a stroke patient to improve motor control, muscle activation, and functional independence through task-based therapy. We used simple commands and techniques like:✔️ “Apply oil to your head” – with biceps facilitation✔️ “Lift your arm” – with triceps tapping✔️ “Press the ball” – to activate grip and flexor synergy✔️ “Drop the ball from the bed” – to promote arm release✔️ “Throw the ball” – to enhance coordination and hand-eye integration💡 Using verbal cueing and tactile stimulation, we focus on restoring purposeful movement after stroke — through repetition, motivation, and function-based therapy. This is how neuroplasticity is encouraged — by giving meaningful, goal-oriented tasks that activate the brain and rebuild lost movement patterns.....

Did you know that your posture is a result of your nervous system’s approach to handling a load?Allah subhanwtallah gives us slight curves in the spine. They are big enough to act like a spring and small enough to keep us straight.Gravity constantly tries to increase those curves. If your nervous system lets go in the upper part, you become hyper-kyphotic. If it lets go in the lower part, you become hyper-lordotic. A combination of these two is also possible, resulting in a hyper-kypholordosis.If, in the fight against gravity, your nervous system overacts in the lumbar region, you develop a swayed back. If this overaction spreads higher, you end up with a flat back. If your base tension is even higher, you develop a military posture.Do you know which one do you have?

Having hyperlordosis in your lumbar spine directly points to the idea of a “Lower Crossed Syndrome”.Basically, your pelvis can be viewed as a rotating object controlled by four strings. The tension in one pair of strings can change the position of the pelvis, which, in turn, affects the tension in the other pair of strings. When you’re sitting, your hip flexors become accustomed to a shortened position, while your gluteal muscles adapt to a lengthened one. When you stand up, this shift in tension introduces uneven forces on your pelvis, resulting in its rotation. This rotation pre-shortens your lumbar extensors, increasing their excitability, and pre-lengthens your abdominal muscles, making them more “lazy”...

If you have pain between your shoulder blades, there is a simple test which you can perform to check if it may be connected with insufficient mobility.Stand with your back against the wall, place feet a bit in front of the body, bend your knees a little bit, tuck your pelvis to flatten the lumbar spine, touch the wall with your lumbar and thoracic spine and with the head. This position will restrict most of the possible compensatory patterns from your body. Now start moving your hands and elbows up, keeping them close to the wall all the time. This movement is impossible without a ton of scapular active mobility, so if you’re able to perform it, you can exclude that as a pain reason. If you’re not able to do it, try exploring ways to improve your scapular active ROM, which will allow your interscapular muscles to get more movement, better blood flow and as a result better regeneration capabilities.....
