Workshop on Leadership!!

Department of Pediatrics unit-II organized a leadership development workshop under the supervision of Prof. Dr. M Khalid Masood.

We were honored to have Prof. Dr M Shahzad Anwar from the Department of Urology, who delivered insightful lectures highlighting leadership and interdisciplinary collaboration in medical practice 🎓.

Such academic activities are essential for developing effective leadership within the healthcare system.

Department of Paediatrics unit-II conducted a Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) session focused on training our young doctors in essential newborn care and emergency resuscitation skills. The session was facilitated by Dr. Sikandar, with valuable guidance and support from our HOD Prof. Dr. M Khalid Masood along with the faculty team.

It was an interactive and skill-based training aimed at improving confidence and competence in managing newborn emergencies.
Appreciation to all participants for their enthusiasm and dedication. 👶💜

Today, our ward observed 'World Prematurity Day" with a purposeful and insightful program aimed at highlighting the challenges and care needs of premature newborns.

The session was facilitated by Dr. Sikandar, who ensured a smooth and engaging flow of the event.

Pre conference workshop on RESEARCH METHODOLGY AND PROPOSAL WRITNG.

Organised by Department of paediatrics unit-II , Services hospital/SIMS, Lahore.
Under the kind patronage of our chief patron, Principal Sims, Prof Dr Zohra Khanam and Patron, Prof. Dr M Khalid Masood, the Department of Paediatrics successfully conducted a pre-conference workshop.

The session aimed to strengthen participants understanding of research design, data analysis and proposal development. It Provided young researchers with practical guidance and confidence to pursue quality academic research.

Workshop on Communication Skills

A Workshop on Communication Skills was successfully conducted at Paediatrics Unit II, Services Hospital, Lahore, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Zuhra Khanum, Principal, SIMS / SHL.

The workshop was organized under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Khalid Masood, Head of the Department of Paediatrics unit-II, Services Hospital, Lahore.
The event was attended by Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, Senior Registrars, Postgraduate Residents (PGRs), House Officers (HOs) and Nurses from various institutions.

Highlights of the Workshop
•Interactive lecture sessions on effective communication in clinical practice.
•Role-play activities focusing on doctor–patient and doctor–parent communication.
•Group discussions and feedback on practical scenarios.

The workshop proved to be highly engaging and beneficial, enhancing participants’ understanding of the importance of clear, empathetic, and professional communication in paediatric practice.
