Soo a question to those so called Men who recommended women shouldn't travel alone to save themselves from being r**ed should also clarify

Wondering what your 1-year-old's eating and sleeping schedule *might* look like? Here's a sample daily schedule for a 1-year-old... though keep in mind that every child is different and not all tots will follow this daily routine — and that's totally fine too! Some might wake at 5am (see a post that I did about what to do with early wakeups), others might need to eat or sleep earlier or later, while still others may follow this basic outline but be off by 30 minutes here and 45 minutes there. You know your little one best, so adapt this sample schedule to your individual child's temperament and needs.

Roasted Cauliflower Steak Nourish Bowl
Recipe:
Roasted Cauliflower Steaks:⁣
- 1 head of cauliflower (about 600g roughly) ⁣
- 1tsp onion granules ⁣
- 1tsp garlic granules ⁣
- 1/2tsp smoked paprika ⁣
- 2tsp nutritional yeast⁣
- olive oil ⁣
- pumpkin seeds/sunflower seeds or both (optional) ⁣
- crushed sea salt & black pepper⁣
- 1 tbsp fresh chopped parsley for garnish. ⁣

Method:⁣ .
1. Preheat the oven to 200C/180C fan/400F/gas mark 6. Line a high sided baking tray with nonstick baking parchment. ⁣
2. Slice the cauliflower lengthways into thick slices using a large knife, then place them onto the baking tray.⁣
3. Drizzle the cauliflower steaks with a little olive oil until all sides of the cauliflower steaks are saturated. ⁣
4. Add all the dry seasonings into a small bowl including the salt and pepper, then mix well until fully combined. ⁣
5. Sprinkle the seasoning all over the cauliflower steaks on all sides until evenly coated.⁣
6. Cover the baking tray with tin foil and bake in the oven for 6mins, then take off the foil. Sprinkle the cauliflower steaks with seeds, then place back into the oven for a further 10-15 mins. ⁣
7. Turn them over halfway through cooking time so both sides are crisp. Garnish with the chopped parsley and enjoy! ⁣

We’ve heard the phrase, “be yourself”, about a million times growing up but no one’s ever told us what that truly meant; no one told us that it meant unlearning years and years of concepts/ideals that were fed to us on the daily, and that it meant hard work.

For a lot of us that hard work was accepting our acne and the way we look. Some people who have never had acne just don’t understand the amount of insecurity and negativity it generates. “It’s just skin”. But it’s MY skin, MY face and it’s important to ME! It’s valid that it’s important to us. NEVER let anyone tell you otherwise.

This journey is in no way easy, it’s a lot of self reflection and observation BUUTT that doesn’t necessarily mean that it has to be isolating. Your mental health should always come first. Whatever you may be going through, whatever you may be feeling, no matter how bad it may seem, remember it’s okay to talk about it to someone you trust, and remember there is NO SHAME in asking for help.

Whatever your journey is, whether it’s accepting your acne, owning your flaws, choosing that risky career that everyone thinks is a bad idea, or wearing out that bright shirt that you always loved but weren’t brave enough to put on. Your battle may be big or small, it’s just as valid and just as important.

It’s important to always have your own back! Take care of yourself on the inside and out. We’re always here for you and we believe in you.

Time to discuss the Thyroid!!!

Here are 6 foods that can help with your overall thyroid health!

Brazil Nuts 🥜: The thyroid has the highest selenium content of any organ, and studies suggest that selenium deficiencies may be a primary cause of thyroid disorders. Selenium helps the conversion of thyroid hormones T3-T4 and 1-2 brazil nuts gives you a good amount of selenium.

Sardines 🐠: Sardines are high in selenium to support thyroid function. Additionally, sardines are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which help lower inflammation and enhance immunity.

Apples 🍎: Apples are rich in pectins, a gelatinous fiber that helps clear the body of heavy metals, especially mercury, which has been associated with thyroid disorders.

Pumpkin Seeds 🎃: Zinc is critical for the synthesis of thyroid hormones, and deficiencies can lead to hypothyroidism.

Kelp 🌱: The thyroid requires iodine, a trace mineral, to synthesize sufficient amounts of thyroid hormones, and studies show that even mild iodine deficiencies can lead to thyroid problems.

Broccoli Sprouts 🥦: Sulforaphane improves detoxification enzymes in the body. Cruciferous veggies as a whole contain phytochemicals and help your hormones function daily.
If you have a thyroid condition, you might have been told to avoid cruciferous veggies, but there is little evidence that they inhibit thyroid function and as long as you are not eating them by the bucket, you should be okay.
Goitrogens are normally found in these veggies and have the potential to block iodine absorption, but if you are concerned you can lightly steam them.

Argula Salad 🍄👌

2 cups arugula
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes
1/4 cup feta cheese
10-15 Kalamata olives
1 can garbanzo beans
1/4 cup walnuts
1 avocado
1-2 Tbsp olive oil
2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
Salt to taste (around teaspoon)

1 salmon fillet

Season the salmon with your favorite spice rub and air fry at 400 for 10-15 minutes depending on thickness

CRISPY GARLIC & CHEESE CAULIFLOWER CAKES w/ AVOCADO CREMA

1 small head of cauliflower (about 16 oz), cut into florets • 1-2 cloves garlic • 1/3 cup feta, crumbled 1/3 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded • 2 T. coconut flour (may sub 4 T. all purpose flour flour) • 2 large eggs • 2 T. basil, chopped • salt & pepper, to taste • Avocado oil for pan-frying.

1) Working in two batches, pulse the cauliflower + garlic in a food processor until it resembles rice. 2) Transfer cauliflower/garlic to a steaming basket and steam for abouit 3 minutes, until tender. 3) Transfer to a large bowl and let cool for 2 minutes. Add cheese, flour, eggs, basil, and salt and pepper. Mix until combined. 4) Gently form into patties and pan-fry in oil in 2 teaspoons oil, until golden on each side.

Avocado Crema: 1 avocado • 1/4 cup greek yogurt or sour cream • 2 tablespoons cilantro (or basil) •
1/2 tablespoon avocado oil (to thin — optional) • juice of half lemon • salt + pepper to taste • 1. Blend all ingredients till smooth.
