International Pediatric Bone Marrow & Stem Cells Transplant Conference
Dr Jovaria Mannan, President Thalassaemia Society of Pakistan, Participated in International Pediatric Bone Marrow & Stem Cells Transplant Conference.
The purpose of the International Pediatric Bone Marrow & Stem Cells Transplant Conference was to bring together key stakeholders to collaborate and strengthen efforts for improving pediatric bone marrow transplantation. The main objectives of the conference include:
1. Joint Efforts for Better Transplant Outcomes
Bringing together doctors, researchers, policymakers, and organizations working on bone marrow transplants.
Strengthening partnerships between hospitals, transplant centers, and international experts.
2. Increasing Bone Marrow Donor Availability
Discussing strategies to expand donor registries, especially in regions where suitable matches are limited.
3. Advancing Research & Treatment Protocols
Sharing the latest advancements in pediatric bone marrow transplantation.
4. Making Transplants More Accessible & Affordable
Exploring ways to reduce costs and make transplants available to more children, especially in developing countries.
Engaging with government bodies, NGOs, and funding agencies to support patient treatment.
5. Awareness & Advocacy for Bone Marrow Transplants
Educating the public on the importance of bone marrow donation.
Discussing patient experiences and how to improve psychosocial support.
