"A Lady Doctor"
She holds the power in her hands; of saving a life, giving birth to a life and making a home filled with peace.
Time tested her patience. Society tried to mould her into their image of her. Expectations went through the roof. Her own mind struggled to keep her sane. Balance; of physical and mental strength, challenged her on a whole new level.
Sleepless nights to complete that one chapter that will save a life some day and many more, sleepless nights that come with motherhood, endless on-call hours and ward rounds, she saw it all and didn't bat an eye.
She is not limited by the gender norms. She cooks love in her kitchen and cures the pain in her clinic. Her smile heals the wounds and her touch brings joy. She is humble about what she does and is still unaware of the spectrum of her skills.
Every role that she plays; Wife of, Mother of, Doctor, she makes it all look too easy. These are not just the titles she hold, they are the purpose of her life and the reason why she went through the grind. She lives them every day to the fullest.
She never says she is tired; neither of the long hours in the ER, nor of the hours spent at making her house a piece of heaven.
She is not an ordinary human when she is a Mother, and is absolutely extraordinary when she assumes the role of a doctor.
The number of women entering Medical and Healthcare workforce has increased in the past several decades. Although men and women, both face several challenges in Medical profession, but it is more difficult for women to maintain a decent work-life balance along with the additional responsibilities of being a caregiver for her household and her children.
Such a Woman, who is playing the role of being a Wife, a Mother, and a DOCTOR at the same time is worthy of all our gratitude and respect.
