Extended Right hemicolectomy / STC for obstructed distal TC --> SF tumor / MSI h
was combined with distal panc.
Did a D3 dissection because of neumrous enlarged nodes along MCA.

pT4pN0 0/36 R0
Did open surgery because tumor was just humongous and Lap manipulation won't work.
Option for NAC was discussed but not offered because Pt was obstructed and it was a close loop.
Effective Defunction was not possible.

September is thyroid cancer awareness month.
Adequately performed thyroidectomy is the only way to have a durable cure of the disease in addition to adjuvant Rx as Clinically indicated.
We are offering thyroid cancer surgery with least morbidity and frequently the cases are done as day case ( do not require in patient admission)

Michael DeBakey, who developed the surgery for aortic dissection, later suffered an aortic dissection himself.

He initially declined surgery (the very procedure he had pioneered); however, after he lapsed into unconsciousness, the operation was performed with the approval of the ethics committee. He subsequently thanked the surgical team for prolonging his life and continued to work until the day he died at the age of 99.

Two commonly used systems for classifying aortic dissection are the Stanford and DeBakey classifications.

Had the pleasure of operating at gujranwala medical College / hospital as trainer in Lap colorectal cancer surgery.
It was an amazing experince.
Thoughts were exchanged for the training of budding surgeons.
