The institute is comprised of Shalamar Hospital, Shalamar Nursing College, Shalamar Medical & Dental College and Shalamar School of Allied Health Sciences. Shalamar Institute of Health Sciences is a not for profit institution comprising of Shalamar Hospital (SH), Shalamar Nursing College (SNC) and Shalamar Medical & Dental College (SMDC). Shalamar Institute of Health Sciences is instituted and run by the Businessmen Hospital Trust, an umbrella organization to undertake various activities of healthcare and health education. Shalamar Hospital is the primary source of free and subsidized medical treatment to hundreds of thousands of patients of northern Lahore and beyond. The systematic procedures allow maximum number of patients to benefit from the services of the hospital, outpatient facilities and the 24-hours emergency facility.
