Aoa everyone,

Dengue outbreak is creating a tough situation for our hospitals. We are running out of hospital beds and understandably this is a tense situation for the health authorities.

Please follow certain measures to avoid hospitalization:

—Use insect repellent 🦟

—cover your arms and legs

—Use screens on windows and 🚪

—throw out items that hold water.

There is NO WHO APPROVED VACCINE so please please avoid any news 🗞 spread on social media.

Signs and Symptoms of Dengue

Fever 🤒

Headache 🤕

Eye pain (typically behind the eyes)

Muscle, joint, or bone pain

Rash and irritability

Nausea and vomiting 🤮

Unusual bleeding 🩸(nose or gum bleed, small red spots under the skin, or unusual bruising)

Please consult your healthcare provider if these symptoms prevail:

Take acetaminophen or paracetamol to control fever and relieve pain. Do not take aspirin or ibuprofen.

Get plenty of rest and drink fluids to prevent dehydration.

Rest in a screened or air-conditioned room or under a bed net while you have a fever. (CDC source)
