Arthritis Care Foundation A trust working for less privileged patients with arthritis in Pakistan.

Arthritis Care Foundation (ACF) as a registered trust came into inception in 2010 with three founding members starting volunteer services. Currently, 6 volunteer rheumatologists and 10 doctors on ACF’s payroll are providing services at various charity & co-opted clinics, accommodating thousands of indigent patients with arthritis and autoimmune diseases.

🌸 Meet Our Patient Farah 🌸
Farah, a resident of Narowal, has been bravely fighting SLE (Lupus) since 2009. Over the years, her condition worsened, and she developed gangrene on her fingers, causing her severe pain and complications.

Despite visiting many hospitals and doctors, Farah did not receive the treatment she desperately needed. Today, she finally arrived at Arthritis Care Foundation, full of hope and trust.

We are pleased to share that she has been admitted for proper care and treatment, and our team is committed to doing everything possible to help her on the road to recovery.

On Saturday, we are conducting the Rheumatology specialty examination.
Some of our trainees, including those funded by the ACF, are now serving as examiners from Peshawar, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Karachi, and Lahore.
We are doing our best to train more rheumatologists so that every patient with arthritis can access specialist care in every nook and corner of the country.

Dear Friends of ACF,

We are pleased to share that the faculty and team of the Arthritis Care Foundation (ACF), from the platform of Pakistan Society for Rheumatology (PSR), successfully organized the 28th International Conference of PSR from 17th to 19th October 2025 at the Pearl Continental Hotel, Lahore.

The conference brought together an impressive lineup of around 50 distinguished national and international speakers from the USA, UK, Europe, the Middle East, South Asia, and the Asia Pacific region.

With the participation of over 500 delegates, the three-day event featured insightful sessions, research presentations, and interactive discussions on the latest advancements in rheumatology. The conference provided an invaluable platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and the promotion of best practices in patient care and research.

We are grateful to all speakers, delegates, and partners whose contributions made this international event a resounding success.

🌿 Pediatric Rheumatology: Early Care, Lifelong Health 🌿
Arthritis Care Foundation, in collaboration with the Department of Pediatrics, Lahore General Hospital, successfully organized an awareness session highlighting the importance of early diagnosis and management in pediatric rheumatology.

We were honored to host Prof. Jovaria Mannan and Prof. Faryad Hussain as special guests, and our distinguished speakers from Singapore — Prof. Tash Arkachaisri, Dr. Elizabeth Ang, and Dr. Teh Kai Liang — who shared valuable insights on advancing pediatric rheumatology care.
