Pakistanโ€™s Neonatal Resuscitation Course (PNRC) was launched in Sindh at Agha Khan University Hospital Karachi by Neonatology Group of PPA. The day before launch PNRC Provider course was conducted at AKUH.
Me, Prof Irfan, Prof Najaf, Dr Kaleem and Dr Mazhar facilitated this course.
We are really thankful to Prof Sohail Salat for great hospitality and congratulations on a very successful event.

Department of Neonatology, UCHS, in collaboration with Neonatology Group PPA and PPA Punjab, held the first full facilitators course of ๐๐š๐ค๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ง'๐ฌ ๐๐ž๐จ๐ง๐š๐ญ๐š๐ฅ ๐‘๐ž๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐œ๐ข๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐‚๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ž.

We are proud to take the first step towards bringing our country at par with other developed and neighboring countries having their own neonatal resuscitation training courses.

It was led by world-renowned neonatologist Prof. Khalid Haque and attended by neonatologists and pediatricians from different cities and institutions.

The landmark was achieved through encouragement and patronage of our visionary Vice Chancellor Prof. Masood Sadiq and support of the institutionโ€™s management team led by our MD, Prof. Tipu Sultan for which we are very grateful.

A 2 days workshop was held on
"๐๐ž๐จ๐ง๐š๐ญ๐š๐ฅ ๐Œ๐ž๐œ๐ก๐š๐ง๐ข๐œ๐š๐ฅ ๐•๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ฅ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง" was held at Bacha Khan Medical Complex-MTI, Swabi. The workshop was held as a joint venture between University of Health Sciences, Children Hospital Lahore and GKMC/ BKMC-MTI, Swabi.

The facilitators for the workshop were Prof. Kh. A. Irfan Waheed, Prof. Sajjad-Ur-Rehman, Dr. Mazhar Qadir Khan, Dr. Muhammad Ahmed Rana, Dr. Ibrahim Bin Afsar and Dr. Samina Shams Alam.

2 days workshop encompassed essentials of Invasive as well as Non- Invasive Ventilation in Neonates followed by Hands-on practice by participants.

NeoSymposium2024 took place on 27th January 2024 at Services Institute of Medical Sciences/ Services Hospital Lahore.

The event was organized by Neonatology Group of Pakistan Pediatrics Association in Collaboration with Services Institute of Medical Sciences/ Services Hospital Lahore, UNICEF, WHO, PPA and PPA Punjab.

Prof. Javed Akram Health Minister Punjab graced the occassion as Chief Guest.

The event was very well attended with over 500 participants attending from all regions of Pakistan.

The faculty included renowned Neonatologists from Pakistan & abroad. Main scientific session included 4 state of the art lectures followed by 3 hands on Workshops.

The event also included launch of the "Facilitator Manual for Small and Sick Newborn Care".
