Today’s journal club meeting included a presentation on the Nipah virus, presented by Dr. Anas Azhar, Senior Residents and Dr Areesha with a focused discussion on precautions relevant to oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Key points included transmission risks during aerosol-generating procedures, strict infection control measures, appropriate PPE use, and careful patient screening to ensure the safety of both healthcare workers and patients.
