The EPI Punjab with WHO support organized Expert Panel Discussion bringing together experts from diverse medical specialties. Minister for Health & Population Department Khawaja Imran Nazeerled the discussion with participation from Universities Vice Chancellors, WHO and Unicef experts as well as representatives of PPA, PMA, SOGP and other bodies. Pakistan's leading English newspaper The News published a full page supplement on it.
The Minister shared that the vaccine will be administered to girls aged 9-14 in a campaign from 15 to 27 September 2025.
Head of Office WHO Punjab Dr. Jamshaid Ahmed highlighted that an integrated system of vaccination, screening and treatment was necessary to achieve the global goals of cervical cancer elimination.
