The Concept of the Children’s Hospital & the institute of Child Health, Lahore was presented in the annual meeting of Pakistan Paediatric Association in 1984, foundation stone was laid down in 1990, OPD Block was operationalized in May, 1995 and emergency services were started in October, 1996. The Children’s Hospital has been providing inpatient services since December 18, 1998. The hospital prov

ides a wide range of services both inpatient and outpatient, with full backup of diagnostic services. The Institute of Child Health is providing post graduate training to very large number of doctors in multiple disciplines as well as conducting research projects. The institute also encompasses the School of Nursing and the School of Allied Health Sciences.

A Proud Moment for Pakistan & A Historic Achievement in Pediatric Cardiology!

We are thrilled to announce that our national pride and esteemed mentor, Prof. Masood Sadiq, Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, Vice Chancellor of UCHS and Children’s Hospital, Lahore, has been elected as President of the Asia Pacific Pediatric Cardiac Society (APPCS) for the next two years!

This monumental honor marks Prof. Masood Sadiq as only the second Pakistani to achieve this prestigious position since Prof. Sheryar A Sheikh in 1999. The APPCS represents over 64% of the world’s population across 23 countries, including Pakistan.

Prof. Sadiq's unanimous election by the executive council during the 10th Biennial Meeting of APPCS on April 11, 2025, is a testament to his dedication. As President of the Pakistan Pediatric Association, he continues to advance pediatric care.
