Having done his comprehensive plastic surgery training in the UK, Dr. Asif Bhatti completed his advance training at the Christine Kleinert Institute of Hand & Microsurgery in Louisville, USA. He has been working as Plastic Surgery Consultant at King Saud Medical City, the biggest hospital of Saudia Arabia, from September 2015 till December 2017. He previously worked as Consultant Plastic Surgeon in Saad Specialist Hospital, Al Khobar from May 2011 to Aug 2015.
Recently he has joined Shalamar Hospital and Medical College, Lahore as Associate Professor and Head of Department of Burns and Plastic Surgery. He is trying to establish first purpose built pediatric burn ICU in the private sector which will serve a large population of Punjab.
He started his training in Pakistan and after doing his FCPS travelled abroad and accumulated vast and enormous experience in Plastic and Burn Surgery from New -Zealand, England, Ireland, Singapore and USA.
He was involved, as a participating Hand Surgeon, in the first successful double hand transplant in the world (USA) on 24 August 2010. His name is included in the 2011/2012 Edition of Who Is Who in Healthcare, America and the 2012 Edition of International Bibliographical file of Cambridge.
Dr. Bhatti has done three fellowships: 1st fellowship in adult reconstruction surgery from Singapore (2001-2); 2NDone in cosmetic and aesthetic surgery from West LondonClinic (2008-9) and 3rd fellowship in hand and microsurgery fromUSA (2010-11).
He has vast experience in all aspects of cosmetic and plastic surgery with special interest in the hand and microsurgery. He authored a presentation regarding Belt lipectomy and body contouring surgery in the Pakistan Association of Plastic Surgery annual meeting 2013.
He has a chapter about otoplasty in the Advanced Cosmetic otoplasty Book written by Melvin Schiffman, one of most read author in cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Bhatti will be available for consultation and surgery of all plastic, cosmetic reconstructive, burn and hand cases at Surgimed Hospital, Shalimar Hospital and Ittefaq Hospital, Lahore.
