Ulafat Community Citizen board (UCCB) was established and registered in year 2005 under Societies Registration Act 1860 by a group of enthusiasts of likeminded.It was decided to support the sectors which have extreme influence on the poor and helpless communities. So a consensus built to intervene in the sectors as laid down under ‘Sectors for UCCB Intervention’. The rural areas of Pakistan were initially decided to focus for the provision of quality health, environment, sports and relief services. Another parallel intervention rolled out was to help out deserving students of the area. Furthermore, under the guidance of Director Mr. Billal Ahmad the UCCB team also formed/developed committees to ensure the participation of local communities to improve the standards of poor people.Afterwards, UCCB broadened its scope of interventions by introducing certain activities in agriculture and health sectors. UCCB team organized awareness sessions with farmers’ community of their target area to educate them regarding the importance of modern scientific farming to maximize the yield so that the farmers could become prosperous. UCCB completed community driven initiatives in the field of Preventive health, Mother and Child Health center with the support of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, NATPOW, SPO, and Aurat Foundation.
