Today is a moment of immense pride, not just for KEMU, but for the entire nation. I extend my most heartfelt congratulations to each and every member of the KEMU family on the remarkable achievement of securing the $4 million international grant for establishing the
“Centre for Myoelectric Assisted Robotic Limbs at KEMU/Mayo Hospital.”
This success is far more than a grant, it is a story of unyielding resolve, silent perseverance, and collective brilliance. For an entire year, the faculty stood steadfast, navigating complex pathways with the Health Department, PITB, Federal Planning and Development, the Ministry for Special Initiatives in building meaningful collaboration with the Korean Embassy and the Government of Korea. To emerge victorious in such intense global competition against 11 countries is nothing short of extraordinary.
While a very special appreciation is deserved by the very brilliant “Prof. Faisal Masood”, Chairman Department of Orthopaedic Surgery KEMU/MHL and equally persuasive Assistant Professor ‘Dr. Sohail Niazi’ for their leadership and relentless commitment, this achievement truly belongs to every member of the KEMU faculty. It reflects a culture where excellence is not an aspiration but a tradition, and where challenges are met with courage and vision.
This centre will stand as a beacon of hope, bringing cutting edge innovation to those in need, restoring dignity, mobility, and independence to countless lives. More than that, it sends a powerful message to the world, that KEMU continues to lead, to innovate, and to rise.
This milestone is one of even greater achievements. You have not only elevated the name of your institution, you have inspired a nation.
