An engaging and thought-provoking session on “Teaching Excellence: From Lectures to Artificial Intelligence” was organized under the Nursing Faculty Development Program at the College of Nursing, Lahore General Hospital / Ameer-ud-Din Medical College. The workshop brought together nursing educators and academic leaders to explore modern teaching methodologies, digital learning approaches, and the evolving role of Artificial Intelligence in nursing education.
Patron-in-Chief, Worthy Principal Prof. Dr. Muhammad Farooq Afzal, emphasized that the future of healthcare education depends upon empowering teachers with innovative skills, critical thinking, and technological adaptability. He shared that nursing educators are not only shaping competent professionals but are also building the foundation of compassionate and evidence-based healthcare. He further stated that integrating Artificial Intelligence with medical and nursing education can enhance learning experiences, strengthen clinical decision-making, and prepare healthcare professionals for future challenges.
Patron, Ms. Samina Kausar, appreciated the efforts of the organizing team and highlighted the importance of continuous faculty development for maintaining excellence in nursing education.
Guest facilitators Dr. Rubina Inam and Ms. Naveeda Aslam shared valuable insights on innovative teaching strategies, learner engagement, and the practical application of Artificial Intelligence in academic environments. They encouraged educators to embrace modern educational tools while preserving the human values and empathy that remain central to the nursing profession.
The session concluded with an interactive discussion and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to academic innovation, faculty empowerment, and excellence in healthcare education under the vision of “Arete Paideia – Excellence in Education.”
