ecision which method is better for you. In this method we extract hair follicles after shaving and injecting local anesthesia in the donor area with help of punch. Punch is of different diameter to extract single, two or three hair follicles and these are than placed in recipient area after trimming them under microscope. No cut
No blood loss
No stitch
No scar
No post operative pain
No need of post operative rest
With the help of electric punch machine greater number of grafts can be taken upto 4000-5000 grafts can be implanted in single sitting of 4 to 6hours. Grafts can be taken from front of chest,back,shoulders, arms or under chin area. Latest method of hair transplant with almost no side effects. Disadvantages of F.U.E
Larger donor area is required in this method if recipient area is large. Strip method
In this method we remove a strip of skin of scalp deep to hair follicles from the back of scalp behind the two ears. It is about 1-2 cm wide and 16-18 cm in length. The gap or wound is closed with sutures. The hair grafts are separated from this strip by cutting under microscope. No need to shave off the whole head. It is useful with small donor area. Disadvantages of strip method. Bleeds profusely. More Painful As compared to F.U.E because the wound is closed with stitches. It leaves permanent scar mark behind head. Second session if required is usually after 6 months to 1 year.
