YDA is not only an organization for doctors’ rights, but it has always raised its voice for patients’ rights as well, striving to provide them with the best possible healthcare facilities. On every platform, YDA has spoken out firmly for this cause.

Whenever the country and the nation have faced difficult times—whether it was helping earthquake victims, supporting flood-affected people in Balochistan and South Punjab, or standing up during times of war with India—YDA leaders and doctors have always come forward for their country and nation.

Even now, in the current flood situation, YDA Punjab, responding to the call of YDA Pakistan President Dr. Atif Majeed Chaudhry, has immediately handed over a donation of 5 lakh rupees to YDA KPK for the assistance of our brothers there. InshaAllah, more aid will also be collected and delivered soon.

At the same time, YDA Punjab teams are actively organizing free medical camps, foods,shelter across Punjab for flood-affected people.

We extend our congratulations to Dr. Wahab Shab on being appointed as the Chief Coordinator of YDA SHL House Officers.

Dr. Syed Wahab Shah has been an active member of YDA since his student life. From the beginning of his house job, he has worked tirelessly to address matters such as house officer allocations, allocations for private and FMG graduates, as well as hospital and hostel-related issues, serving the community with great dedication.

In recognition of his commitment, he has now been nominated as the Chief Coordinator of House Officers.

We hope that, as Chief Coordinator, he will continue to serve the community with the same passion and dedication.

We wish him all the best for this position.

Announcement of General Secretary of YDA SHL

The Young Doctors Association SHL is pleased to announce the , Postgraduate Resident ENT, as the
of .

Dr. Babar has been an active and energetic member of YDA since his student life.
He has previously served as the Head of the YDA Student Council and has played a leading role in several important movements of the association, including the struggle for pay raises, the NLE issue, student attendance matters, and the induction and salary concerns of postgraduate residents.

In his capacity as a postgraduate resident, Dr. Babar has also served as Head of the SIMS Student Council.
His dedication, leadership, and consistent commitment to community service have earned him the trust and recognition of his colleagues.
In acknowledgment of his valuable contributions, Dr. Babar has once again been entrusted with the role of *General Secretary in the newly formed cabinet of YDA SHL.

YDA Policy Statement

This is to inform all concerned that no Postgraduate Resident (PGR) will vacate or leave the B2 Hostel unless we are properly relocated back to the Old Nursing Hostel, where we were residing prior to the recent revamping.
Furthermore, we categorically state that no female PGR shall be compelled to vacate under any circumstances without the provision of secure, adequate, and equivalent alternative accommodation.
It is the sole responsibility of the administration to ensure uninterrupted accommodation for all PGRs, especially female residents, whose safety, dignity, and well-being cannot be compromised.
The Young Doctors Association (YDA) stands firm in its commitment to safeguard the rights and welfare of doctors. Any attempt to forcibly displace residents without appropriate arrangements will be considered a direct violation of basic professional rights and will be met with strong resistance.
We urge the administration to act immediately and responsibly to avoid unnecessary confrontation and disruption of essential hospital services.
YDA will not tolerate any negligence, coercion, or arbitrary action in this regard.
