Attending the Global Health Research in Pakistan: From Action to Global Impact conference at the University of Toronto, Canada, was an inspiring experience. The focus on improving access to psychological therapies through a life course approach to mental health highlights the importance of holistic care. Interdisciplinary research is driving equitable and sustainable policies that enhance health and wellbeing in Pakistan. The discussions on causes of stillbirth, neonatal health, and building a local breast cancer registry in Sindh are crucial steps toward informed national strategies. Affordable cardiac rehabilitation with integrated mental health support—an area close to my heart from my PhD journey—emphasizes the need for culturally adapted psychosocial care. The commitment to improving care for burn survivors through culturally sensitive interventions in low-resource settings resonated deeply. Together, these efforts are paving the way for transformative health solutions.
