Today, September 28th, on World Rabies Day, the team at DHQ Hospital Lakki Marwat stands with global health initiatives to shine a light on this preventable disease.
Rabies is 100% preventable through vaccination of dogs and prompt, appropriate medical care after a potential exposure.
Our commitment to the community of Lakki Marwat is clear:
We provide essential Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) for anyone who has been bitten or scratched by an animal suspected of having rabies.
We encourage all residents to ensure their pets are vaccinated against rabies.
If you are bitten or scratched, immediately wash the wound thoroughly with soap and water for 15 minutes, and then visit our hospital immediately for evaluation and treatment
