20-year-old Muqaddas from Punjab donated 60% of her liver to save her ailing father, Khalil Ahmed, at Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS).

While Ahmed recovered, Muqaddas tragically passed away days later due to intestinal complications.

Her family alleges they weren’t informed in time and demands an inquiry. GIMS officials deny negligence, stating liver transplants are high-risk procedures.

Dr. Abdul Wahab Dogar noted that out of 1,200 transplants performed, 90% were successful. Muqaddas’ story highlights both medical challenges and the ultimate sacrifice of a daughter for her father.
