March is self harm awareness month🤍
Most of the time when a person hears about self harm they immediately jump to the conclusion of cutting or burning because that is the form that stands out the most. But unfortunately there are many other forms. Some examples are
-punching or hitting themselves
-poisoning themselves with tablets or toxic chemicals
-misusing alcohol or drugs
-deliberately starving themselves or binge eating
-exercising too much 
-overspending
-isolation
It’s hard because some of these can seem like it’s not bad until it gets to that point. Like when a person parties or drinks occasionally and you see it move to a point that more excessive. Same for when a person is working out or trying to lose weight you may see it as something good for them but at times it can get to an unhealthy amount.
Life can be overwhelming and hard and even if there isn’t something obviously hard going on in someone’s life they could still be struggling mentally. Make sure to check on people. It takes only a couple moments to ask how someone is doing. And be nice there is so much damn hate and negativity in the world today choose to be different be kind. And for the people struggling it’s okay to struggle and it’s okay to reach out for help. There are so many amazing support systems and coping mechanisms out there to see and learn about🤍
