A 28 years old female with marked leukocytosis, anaemia and splenomegaly. The WBCs count is 540*10^9/l and normal platelets count. The blood film shows marked leukcytosis with marked granulopoiesis. The blast count is 3%. The molecular test for BCR-ABL is positive. All features are consistent with chronic myeloid leukemia in chronic phase.
