The Organization has been working, since its inception, on different sectors of social development focusing on Education, Health, Agriculture, women development, youth problems and environment for the betterment of the poor and needy peoples of the area, through their active participation and the help of various donors. The main objective of the establishment of organization is involve and assist them in development process also research is the important tool for to knows the root causes of the problems which help in sustainable development in the programmatic areas. This organization is based on the code of conduct that it is non-profit, non-sectarian and works with all the poor without any discrimination of caste and creed, Gender and area biases.

Seminar on Anti-Drugs Awareness and Minority Rights

Today, a seminar on Anti-Drugs Awareness and Minority Rights was held at Sindh Education Foundation, Government of Sindh Assisted The Hope School & College, FAS, SEF , Mirwah Gorchani . The event was organized by Hope & Transformation against Poverty (HTP).

The session was attended by Matric class students and delivered by senior psychiatrist Dr. Lakesh Kumar Akhatri and senior advocate Mr. Raichand Harijan.

Dr. Lakesh Kumar Akhatri discussed psychological factors leading to drug addiction, causes behind substance abuse, and various treatments available for drug rehabilitation. He emphasized the importance of mental health awareness and early intervention in preventing drug addiction among youth.

Advocate Raichand Harijan spoke about minority rights in light of the Constitution of Pakistan. He highlighted key constitutional protections, including:
• Freedom to practice and propagate religion
• Equal rights for all citizens and protection against discrimination
• Equal access to public places and government services
• State’s responsibility to safeguard minority rights

He also discussed legal protections and remedies available for minorities facing discrimination or injustice.

At the end of the session, a question-and-answer segment was conducted, allowing students to engage with the speakers and gain further insights.

The seminar proved to be an informative and engaging session, raising awareness about the dangers of drug addiction and the legal rights of minorities in Pakistan.

📢 Learner Assessment at AALTP Bhagat Shagan 🎓

On February 10, 2025, the Adult and Adolescent Learning and Training Center (AALTP) Bhagat Shagan conducted a learner assessment to evaluate students’ progress.

We were honored by the presence of Mr. Rashid Ali Shah, District Head of Mirpur Khas, and Mr. Sayed Shoaib Ali, AALTP Program Focal Person. They observed the assessment process, interacted with learners, and appreciated the well-organized arrangements.

Their visit reaffirmed support for quality education and skill development in our region. 🌱📖

📚 Today, a simple and significant ceremony for handing over and taking over the FAS Elementary School took place. We are extremely grateful to the management of the Sindh Education Foundation, Government of Sindh for bestowing upon us the responsibility of a school in Umerkot district.

The school, which had been closed since 2018 and is located 8 kilometers from Umerkot on the Kunri road in Village Khan Muhammad Rajput, has been entrusted to us by the SEF Regional Head, worthy Nisar Banbhan sb , District Head Ms. Parveen Umar, Mr. Ijaz Ahmed Kalro, and Mr. Parvez Ali from the Aware organisation and community members.

Hope & Transformation against Poverty (HTP) is thrilled to announce the establishment of an Adult and Adolescent Learning and Training Centre in district Sanghar, in collaboration with the Sindh Education Foundation, Government of Sindh. This initiative targets out-of-school children and youth, comprising adolescents (9-17 years) and adults (18-36 years), aiming to equip them with essential skills for socio-economic development. The centre will provide a supportive environment for students within this age range to acquire vital skills and knowledge in free of cost, enhancing their prospects for a brighter future.

The Establishment of Tent Schools in Flood Relief Camps
On the directives of honorable Mr. Feroz Mansoor, SEF Regional Head Mirpurkhas, Tent Schools have been established by the SEF partner, The Hope & Transformation against Poverty (HTP) in the flood relief camps in Taluka Shuja Abad, District Mirpurkhas arranged by Government of Sindh. A number of communities from the heavy rain flooded areas have taken temporary shelter whose houses and crops have completely been destroyed.
This initiative was taken on the directives of worthy Syed Sardar Shah, Minister of Education, Government of Sindh and Kazi Abdul Kabeer, Managing Director of Sindh Education Foundation (SEF), GoS to establish Tent Schools in Sindh by the SEF partners to save valuable time of flood affected children and provide them learning environment in the relief camps. The senior teachers have been appointed by our organization in Tent Schools to impart education to the children on multi-class room teaching methodology.
The learning material including books, copies and stationary have been provided to the children in Tent Schools. Various learning activities will be arranged to keep the students engaged. Health and hygiene sessions will also be conducted to save children from contagious diseases caused by eating unhealthy food and drinking unhygienic water. On the occasion, the Regional Head Mirpurkhas visited the Tent Schools, appreciated the efforts of HTP and gave briefing on this initiative. He interacted with the children and encouraged them to take interest in the education.
