In a continued effort to address the challenge of out-of-school children in Sindh, the Directorate of Literacy & Non-Formal Education (DL&NFE), Government of Sindh, has partnered with 30 Non-Government Organizations under Phase II to establish 1,420 Non-Formal Education (NFE) Centers across six districts of the province.
To formally orient Phase II implementation partners, a two-day Orientation Workshop on the Accelerated Learning Programme (ALP) was organized on 08โ09 January 2026 at Public School Hyderabad, in collaboration with JICAโAQAL III. The workshop provided comprehensive orientation on partner roles and functions, ALP approaches, NFE standards, monitoring mechanisms, center management, and the Non-Formal Education Management Information System (NFEMIS).
The workshop was inaugurated by Director NFE, Mr. Abdul Jabbar Mari, who delivered a thoughtful and effective address highlighting the importance of strong partnerships, shared accountability, and collective commitment. He also engaged with partner organizations by addressing their queries and encouraging open dialogue to strengthen implementation at the field level. Officials from DL&NFE, heads of partner NGOs, and JICA representatives from Lahore and Islamabad actively contributed to the sessions.
The orientation concluded on a highly positive note, reaffirming a joint resolve to work proactively and collaboratively so that no child in Sindh is left uneducated.
