For most of us, it's cherry season! That means fresh cherries are usually the most affordable right
now.
They're also packed with nutrition that will benefit your PCOS!
Vitamin C - a powerful antioxidant that may also boost egg quality
→ Antioxidants - cherries are high in polyphenols, which reduce inflammation and may improve gut health
Fiber - so important for many reasons but especially blood sugar control, satiety, gut health, and heart health
Melatonin a hormone that improves egg quality and promotes sleep. Although, just to note, most positive studies on cherries and sleep were done with concentrated cherry sources such as tart cherry juice...but that doesn't mean whole cherries aren't still beneficial here!
They're easy to add to smoothies, yogurt, oatmeal, or cottage cheese or my favorite way: just eat as a snack with some dark chocolate chips
