I wish we had a decent and sustainable agriculture policy in Pakistan. Farmers do their duties well but always face problems during crop production time and fetch lower prices for their harvest. The government should make policies to give social and economic benefits to the farming community so that they can work well for food security and provide raw materials for hundreds of industries.
The wheat harvesting season has started in the country and the price 3900 for 40 kg of grain, but traders are not giving this price to farmers. Farmers are weak and mostly live under the burden of loans and financial instability, although they have bought inputs like fertilizers, pesticides, fuel, and electricity with prices formulated with USD dollar rates.

Today price of 5 kg Chicken Meat (a product of industrial groups) in Pakistan is more than 40 kg wheat grains of farmers.
