Noninfectious causes of abortion in goats include plant toxins, such as broomweed or locoweed poisoning; dietary deficiencies of copper, selenium, vitamin A, or magnesium; and certain drugs such as estrogen, glucocorticoids, phenothiazine, carbon tetrachloride, or levamisole (in late gestation).

Major infectious causes of abortion in goats are chlamydiosis, toxoplasmosis, leptospirosis, brucellosis, Coxiella burnetii, and listeriosis. Campylobacter causes abortions but is not nearly as important in does as in ewes.

Why C-section in cattle:

An incision is made through the uterus in order to deliver the calf.

C-sections are necessary in cattle when:

A. Vaginal delivery is too difficult
B. If it is not progressing in the expected amount of time
C. Or if it could endanger the life of the cow or the life of her calf.

C-Sections are generally performed on:

- Calves that are too large

- Immature heifer more prone to c-section

Other indications include:

☆ Inadequate cervical dilation (not enough relaxation of the cervix muscles)
☆ Abnormal pelvic bone conformation (shape) in the cow
☆ Rupture of the cow's abdominal musculature
☆ Problems with uterine position or uterine function
☆ Abnormalities of the cow's uterus or va**na
☆ Fetal monsters (congenital defects)
☆ Presence of a dead fetus
☆ Uterine inertia, failure of uterine contractions
☆ Prolonged labor
☆ Oversized fetus
☆ Abnormal position or presentation of the fetus
☆ Anatomical abnormality of the mother
☆ Torsion, or twisting of the uterus



1.Preparation of the Surgical site and washing of hand.
2.Apply betadine iodine on the site.
3.A large bold incision is made into the abdomen.
4.Control the bleeding, ligation.
5.Follow a blunt dissection.
6.Cut a facial layer, and two muscle layers.
7.Reach to the peritoneum.
8.Reach to the gravid uterus and exteriorate.
9.Palpate the fetal parts.
10.Make an incision on uterus avoiding injury to a fetus.
11.Hold fetal legs and gently remove it.
12.Avoid intra-peritoneal contamination.
13.Hold the incised uterine edges.
14.Remove the fetal membranes gently only if possible.
15.Remove the uterine fluid.
16.Wash it with the normal saline-3 times, Start suturing the uterus with Utrecht suture pattern.

بيماري جو تفصيل:
چوپائي مال خاص ڪري ڍڳين ۽ مينهن ۾ ٿيندڙ ھي هڪ وائرل بيماري آھي۔ مينهن جي ڀيٽ ۾ ڍڳين ۾ ھن بيماري جي پکڙجڻ جي شرح وڌيڪ آھي. هن بيماري جو سبب بنجندڙ وائرس جو نالو Lumpy Skin Virus، جيڪو Capripoxvirus يا Goatpoxvirus جو ميمبر ۽ Poxviridae فيملي سان تعلق رکي ٿو۔
نشانيون: تيز بخار، جانور کائڻ پيئڻ ۽ هلڻ ۾ سست، وات مان گگ ۽ اکين مان پاڻي اچڻ، هن بيماري جي خاص نشاني ۾ چمڙي تي پيدا ٿيندڙ ننڍيون ننڍيون ڳوڙهيون جيڪي ڪن حالتن ۾ چمڙي جي ٻاهران يا اندران ڦاٽي به پون ٿيون. جانور جي جسم جي اندرين عضون ڦڦڙن تي ڇاليا ٺھڻ جنهن سان ساه جي تڪليف پيدا ٿيڻ، معدي ۽ آنڊي ۾ ڇاليا ٺھڻ جيڪي السر جو سبب بنجن ٿا۔
ھن بيماري ۾ موت جي شرح انتهائي گهٽ آھي. جڏهن ته جانورن جي پيداوار ۾ ڪافي گهٽتائي جو سبب بنجي ٿي. خاص ڪري کير ۽ گوشت ڏيندڙ جانورن جي پيداوار بري طرح سان متاثر ٿئي ٿي. هن بيماري سبب حامله جانور ۾ لڳ جي شروعاتي ڏينهن دوران Embrio يا ٻچيداڻي ۾ موجود ڪچي ڦر جي موت به واقع ٿي سگهي ٿي. ھي بيماري ڪچا ڦر ڪيرائن جو پڻ باعث بڻجي ٿي.
ڦھلاء:
هي هڪ وچڙندڙ بيماري آھي۔ هن بيماري جو وائرس مختلف قسم جي چڪ پائيندڙ ۽ رت چوسيندڙ مکين جيئن ڏنگ، ٻگئي (ڪتا مک) ۽ مڇرن ذريعي بيمار جانور کان صحتمند جانور تائين ڦھلجي ٿو۔ هن بيماري جو هڪ جانور کان ٻئي جانور تائين ويجهي جسماني ڇهاء، نڪ جي رتوبت، جسم تي ٺھندڙ ڳوڙھين جي رتوبتن ۽ لڳ ذريعي پکڙجندڙ جا امڪان تمام گهٽ ھوندا آھن۔ پر ان هوندي به هن بيماري ۾ ورتل جانور کي صحتمند جانورن کان پري ٻڌڻ کپي۔
علاج: جيئن ته هي وائرس کان پيدا ٿيندڙ بيماري آھي انهي ڪري هن بيماري جو علاج ممڪن ناهي، پر وري به مالوند ڀائرن کي صلاح ٿي ڏجي ته پنهنجي ويجهي ويٽرنري اسپتال يا سينٽر تي وڃي ويٽرنري ڊاڪٽر سان رابطو ڪن. ڊاڪٽر بيمار جانور کي بخار لاهڻ، قوت مدافعت وڌائڻ لئه ملٽي وٽامنز ۽ چمڙي تي ٿيندڙ اثرن کان بچاء جون دوائون تجويز ڪري وڌيڪ نقصان ۽ فوري صحتيابي لئه مفيد تجويزون ۽ رهنمائي ڪري سگهي ٿو.
بيماري کان بچاء لاء احتياطي اپاء:
پاڪستان ۾ ھن بيماري کان بچاء واري ويڪسين اڃان تائين دستياب ناهي ٿي سگهي انڪري هيٺيان اپاء وٺي بيماري کان پنهنجن جانورن کي بچائي سگهجي ٿو.
1. بيمار جانور کي صحتمند جانورن کان پري ٻڌڻ کپي. ويٽرنري ڊاڪٽر کي سان رابطو ڪري علاج ڪرائجي.
2. وٿاڻ جي صفائي بهتر نموني ڪرڻ کپي. بيٺل پاڻي جا دٻا ختم ڪرڻ کپن. مکين ۽ مڇرن کان بچاء لئه وٿاڻ يا واڙي جو اسپري ڪرڻ. مڇرداني جو استعمال. جانور هوادار جڳه تي ٻڌڻ کپن.
3. مال پڙين ۽ اهي ڳوٺ جن ۾ اها بيماري موجود هجي اتان ڍڳين ۽ مينهين جي خريداري هرگز نه ڪرڻ کپي.
4. جن ڳوٺن ۽ چراهگاهن ۾ بيمار جانور موجود هجن اوڏانهن جانورن کي هرگز نه موڪلڻ کپي. بيماري ۾ مثبت ايندڙ ڌڻ جي ٻين ڳوٺن ۽ شهرن ڏانهن داخلا بند ڪرڻ کپي.
5. بيماري وگهي مرندڙ جانور کي زمين اندر اونهي کڏ کوٽي چن هاري ان ۾ دفن ڪرڻ کپي.
5. جانورن کي متوازن خوراڪ ، صاف ۽ مٺو پاڻي مهيا ڪجي جيئن جانون جي اندر بيمارين کان بچاء لئه قوت مدافعت پيدا ٿئي.
