International Conference on Health Research 2026

Students of Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences Khyber Medical University under the visionary leadership of Prof. Dr. Sami Siraj, proudly participated in the 3-day International Conference on Health Research 26 (ICHR 26) held at Rehman Medical Institute. The conference served as a prestigious platform for academic exchange, innovation, and research collaboration among professionals and students.
Prof. Dr. Sami Siraj made a remarkable academic contribution by chairing the parallel session titled “From Discovery to Delivery: Translational Pharmacotherapy and Regulatory Science,” in addition to presiding over other important scientific sessions during the conference. His leadership and scholarly presence greatly represented the excellence of KMU.
Students of the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (IPS) actively participated in multiple competitive segments, including poster and quiz competitions, where they showcased their academic knowledge, research aptitude, and professional skills. Their enthusiastic involvement highlighted the growing research culture and talent within the university.
Adding to this achievement, Muhammad Ali Bin Shahid (4th Proff) and Siddiq Ur Rehman (5th Proff) earned recognition among the Top Ambassadors of ICHR 26 for their dedication, coordination, and outstanding contribution throughout the event. Their accomplishments reflect the spirit of leadership, professionalism, and excellence nurtured at KMU.

Students of the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (IPS), Khyber Medical University (KMU) — Muhammad Ali Bin Shahid (Fourth Professional) and Hameed Ullah (Fifth Professional) — were invited as distinguished guests at an Iftar Dinner hosted by Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Peshawar.
Having served as Ambassadors of the KMU for the years 2025 and 2024 respectively, both students exhibited exemplary dedication to humanitarian service and community engagement. During their respective tenures, each successfully mobilized donations exceeding One Million Pakistani Rupees to support cancer patients, while actively leading awareness and advocacy initiatives aimed at strengthening public support for cancer care.

The event was further graced by the presence of renowned actor Noman Ijaz, widely acclaimed for his outstanding performances in landmark television productions such as Parizaad and Duniyapur. The students’ philanthropic contributions and sustained commitment were formally acknowledged and appreciated during the gathering.
Khyber Medical University takes immense pride in the integrity, leadership, and social responsibility demonstrated by its students, reflecting the institution’s enduring commitment to service, compassion, and meaningful community impact.

This video captures the memorable Welcome Party of IPS KMU for the 1st Year students (Session 2025–2030), proudly organized by the 2nd Year students. The event commenced with a warm welcome speech, followed by a vibrant cultural walk that beautifully reflected our rich traditions. Exciting games were specially arranged for the juniors, creating moments of joy and enthusiasm , skit related to our education system . The energetic Attan and Tappy performances added cultural spirit and charm to the celebration. The respected Director of IPS delivered an inspiring speech, motivating students for their academic journey ahead. A special credit goes to Ms. Mehreen, the dedicated Coordinator of IPS Extra-Curricular Activities, whose efforts made this event a great success. The program concluded with a delightful lunch, showcasing unity, discipline, and well-mannered hospitality throughout the occasion.

Khyber Medical University (KMU) participated in a seminar hosted by the University of Agriculture, titled “Climate, Agriculture and Technology: Empowering Youth to Achieve SDGs for a Resilient Future.”
Students of KMU, Muhammad Asim (Captain, Gym'26) and Muhammad Ali Bin Shahid (Ambassador Lead, Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital), were invited as Guest Speakers, where they delivered insightful discussions on SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and SDG 1 (No Poverty), highlighting youth-led approaches to sustainable and inclusive development respectively.
The session was graced by Prof. Dr. Jahan Bakht, Vice Chancellor, University of Agriculture, and Dr. Anwar Ali Shah, Director, whose leadership and insights further strengthened the academic discourse.
The participation of KMU was facilitated by Chief Protocol and Coordinator, KMU IPS focal person GYM, Dr Haji Bahadar, ensuring effective coordination and institutional representation.
The seminar witnessed active participation from over 15 cabinet members of the Green Youth Movement, KMU, and concluded with an interactive panel discussion, fostering the exchange of ideas on sustainable development, youth leadership, and climate resilience.
KMU remains committed to empowering its students to contribute meaningfully toward national and global sustainability goals through academic engagement, leadership, and innovation.
