*Successful Conducted the Motivational Talk Session || Aim Of Life || Prof. Dr Nasir Muhmmad*

A truly inspiring and successful Motivational Talk Session titled “Aims of Life” was conducted today at Khyber Medical University, organized by the Events Society of IPS-KMU. The session aimed to explore diverse perspectives on life, education, and purpose, attracting enthusiastic participation from students of various academic fields.

The highlight of the event was the keynote address by the distinguished guest speaker, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nasir, former Dean of Islamia College Peshawar, who delivered a thought-provoking talk on life’s greater objectives, educational values, and the importance of moral clarity in professional pursuits.

The event was honored by the gracious presence of Prof. Dr. Sami Siraj, Director of the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (IPS), who also presented an honorary shield to the guest speaker in appreciation of his invaluable insights and lifelong academic contributions.

We were also delighted to have among us respected IPS faculty members, including director of kmu (ips) prof. Dr. Sami serij , Dr. Haji Bahadur, Prof. Dr. Imran Khan, and Lecturer Syeda Kiran ijaz and prof.dr Waseem whose presence and support added academic strength to the session.

KMU Launches “Nida-e-Khyber” Tri-Lingual Literary Magazine

Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar marked a significant milestone as the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (IPS) held a vibrant and grand unveiling ceremony for its first-ever student-led literary magazine titled “Nida-e-Khyber”. The event took place at Dr. Hafeezullah Hall and showcased the creative and literary talents of the students. A large number of faculty members and students attended the event, which aimed to highlight and encourage the creative expression of the student body. The chief guests at the ceremony were KMU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zia Ul Haq, distinguished Pashto poet and scholar Prof. Dr. Abaseen Yousafzai, and acclaimed poet Dr. Bakht Zada Danish.

In his address, Prof. Dr. Zia Ul Haq appreciated the students' efforts and stated that in today’s era of artificial intelligence, creativity is a major challenge. Platforms like Nida-e-Khyber provide students with an invaluable opportunity to develop and showcase their creative potential. He emphasized that the launch of this magazine reflects a beautiful fusion of science and art at KMU.

Dr. Zia further stated that universities play a crucial role in shaping and developing societies. A key goal of KMU is to foster holistic and balanced personality development in its students. He expressed hope that Nida-e-Khyber would serve as a springboard for students to explore and enhance their hidden creative abilities.

Prof. Dr. Abaseen Yousafzai and Dr. Bakht Zada Danish also addressed the gathering and commended the students’ literary contributions. They noted that such activities not only nurture creative thinking among students but also enrich the cultural and literary environment of academic institutions. The faculty and students of KMU highly appreciated this literary initiative, recognizing it as a positive step toward strengthening the university’s academic and co-curricular atmosphere.

Nida-e-Khyber is a trilingual magazine featuring a diverse range of content in English, Urdu, and Pashto. The publication includes poetry and prose on various themes. During the ceremony, IPS students presented original performances in English, Urdu, and Pashto, including plays, humorous sketches, poems, and ghazals.

A highlight of the event was the inter-team Bait Bazi (poetry recitation competition) between teams Sartaj-e-Sukhan and Khayaban-e-Urdu. The team Sartaj-e-Sukhan, comprising Muhammad Zeelid Khan, Nayyab Hussain, and Usman Shakoor, emerged victorious in the spirited contest.

The ceremony concluded with inspiring poetry recitations by Prof. Dr. Abaseen Yousafzai and Dr. Bakht Zada Danish, which captivated the audience and ignited enthusiasm among the students. Commendation certificates were also distributed among participants and organizers to acknowledge their contributions and efforts. #
