MoU Between BKUC and DHQ Hospital Charsadda

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been formalized between Bacha Khan University Charsadda (BKUC) and the District Headquarter (DHQ) Hospital, Charsadda. This significant partnership establishes a five-year collaborative framework designed to integrate academic excellence with clinical practice, thereby enhancing healthcare education, research, and community service in the region.

The official signing ceremony was attended by senior leadership from both institutions. BKUC was represented by Prof. Dr. Khan Alam, Vice Chancellor; Dr. Muhammad Kamran Khan, Director of the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC); Dr. Saifullah Khan, Head of the Department of Pharmacy; and faculty members Dr. Waqas and Dr. Ibrar.

Representing DHQ Hospital Charsadda were Dr. Abdul Quddus, Medical Superintendent; Dr. Faizan Aziz, Deputy Medical Superintendent; and Mr. Asif Khan, Administration and Human Resources Officer.

The ceremony concluded with a note of appreciation from Prof. Dr. Khan Alam, who thanked Dr. Abdul Quddus and the entire DHQ Hospital leadership for their commitment to this pioneering initiative.

Visit to DHQ (Charsadda) Hospital for Collaboration

Charsadda, [Sep 4, 2025] – In a significant step towards strengthening academic and healthcare collaboration, a delegation from Bacha Khan University Charsadda (BKUC) visited the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Charsadda yesterday to formalize a strategic partnership.
The BKUC delegation, led by Dr. Muhammad Kamran Khan, Director of the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC), included Dr. Muhammad Ibrar and Dr. Waqas Alam, both Assistant Professors from the University's Department of Pharmacy. The team was warmly received by the hospital's leadership, including Dr. Abdul Qudoos Afridi, Medical Superintendent, Dr. Javed Sattar, Deputy Medical Superintendent, and Mr. Asif Khan, Admin & HR Officer.
The primary agenda of the meeting was to discuss a proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at providing unparalleled clinical and professional development opportunities for Pharmacy students at BKUC. Both institutions expressed a strong mutual interest in enhancing the quality of professional education through direct hospital exposure, thereby bridging the critical gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
The discussions were highly productive, with the DHQ Hospital administration accepting the proposal in principle. It was agreed that a MoU would be drafted and finalized in the near future. This alliance is poised to grant BKUC pharmacy students access to clinical training, hospital-based learning, and hands-on experience, which are essential for their professional growth and readiness to serve in the healthcare sector.

وائس چانسلر جامعہ باچا خا ن یونیورسٹی پروفیسر ڈاکٹر خان عالم نے کہا ہے کہ جامعہ کی بہتری سمیت داخلوں کی شرح بڑھانے کے لئے تمام شعبہ جات کے مسائل کو ترجیحی بنیادو ں پر حل کیا جائے گا۔ ان خیالات کا اظہار انہوں نے جامعہ باچا خان کے فارمیسی ڈیپارٹمنٹ کے سٹاف سے ملاقات کے دوران کیا۔ اس موقع پر فارمیسی ڈیپارٹمنٹ کے سٹاف نے وائس چانسلر کو خوش آمدید کہااور انہیں پھولوں کے گلدستے پیش کئے۔

اس موقع پرملاقات میں وائس چانسلر نے شعبہ فارمیسی کے تمام مسائل کو فوری اور ترجیحی بنیادوں پر حل کرنے کے عزم کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ جامعہ کی بہتری اور داخلوں کی شرح بڑھانے کیلئے تمام ڈیپارٹمنس کے مسائل کو ترجیحی بنیادوں پر حل کیا جائے گا۔ ایچ او ڈی سمیت تمام فیکلٹی ممبران جامعہ کی بہتری کے لئے اپنی توانائی کو مثبت سرگرمیوں میں استعمال کرے۔ جامعہ باچا خان کو خطے کی مثالی تعلیمی درسگاہ بناناان کا مشن ہے۔
