🏥 Strengthening Paediatric Emergency Care Through Capacity Building

Day 4 of the ongoing Capacity Building Training Program (Batch-6), organized by the Project Management & Implementation Unit (PMIU), Health Department Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in collaboration with PGMI, focused on Paediatric Emergencies at the Clinical Skill Lab, PGMI Peshawar.

This specialized workshop is designed to enhance the clinical competencies of Medical Officers serving in DHQ Hospitals across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Today’s sessions provided hands-on learning and expert guidance on:

✅ Oxygen Therapy Guidelines
✅ Management of Status Epilepticus
✅ Dehydration Management Protocols
✅ Neonatal Resuscitation Techniques

Through these targeted trainings, PMIU continues to play a significant role in strengthening emergency healthcare services and improving the readiness of Medical Officers to respond effectively during critical paediatric emergencies.

🏥 Empowering Healthcare Professionals Through Continuous Capacity Building

Day 3 of the 5-Day Capacity Building Training Program (Batch-6), organized under the supervision of the Project Management & Implementation Unit (PMIU), Health Department Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, continued successfully at the Clinical Skill Lab, PGMI Peshawar.

Today’s sessions focused on critical Medical Emergencies, equipping Medical Officers with practical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in:

🔹 Management of Breathless Patients – rapid assessment and emergency intervention
🔹 Animal Bites – updated clinical protocols for dog and snake bite management
🔹 Unconscious Patients – stabilization and emergency care techniques

Through such specialized trainings, PMIU is playing a vital role in strengthening the capacity of healthcare professionals and improving the quality of emergency healthcare services across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

This collaborative initiative with PGMI reflects PMIU’s continued commitment to developing a skilled, responsive, and patient-centered healthcare workforce for the province.

🏥 Strengthening Emergency Response Capacity in Secondary Healthcare Facilities in KP.

As part of the ongoing 5-Day Capacity Building Training Program for Medical Officers (Batch-6), the Project Management & Implementation Unit (PMIU), Health Department Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in collaboration with the Postgraduate Medical Institute (PGMI), continues to enhance the professional skills of healthcare providers across the province.

Day 3 featured an intensive workshop on Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) at the Clinical Skill Lab, PGMI Hayatabad Phase-4, Peshawar.

Through practical demonstrations and expert-led sessions, participating Medical Officers gained critical hands-on experience in managing cardiac emergencies and delivering timely life-saving interventions.

PMIU remains committed to strengthening secondary healthcare services by investing in the capacity building of medical professionals and promoting excellence in emergency care across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Primary Trauma Care & Airway Management Workshop
Participants received training in:
✔️ Primary Trauma Care (PTC)
✔️ Primary & Secondary Survey
✔️ Circulation Management
✔️ Airway Management Techniques

Enhancing lifesaving skills and improving trauma care response in emergency settings. This intensive training will continue further for 4 days. 💉🩺
