What if our gallbladder is removed!!!!☹️
Don't worry.!
You can lead a perfectly normal life without a gallbladder.
What is gallbladder?
Gallbladder (پتہ) is a greenish yellow sac that lies along the right lobe of liver.
Function of gallbladder:
Gallbladder stores bile which is secreted by liver. So it means liver secretes bile not gallbladder, gallbladder just stores it.
What is bile?
It is not an enzyme it contains bile salts for emulsification of lipids (by keeping the lipids droplets separate from each other)so that enzymes can attack on lipids for digestion of lipids
What if our gallbladder is removed?
We often come to know that the person has its gallbladder removed surgically by a common reason gallstones which block the passage of bile into digestive track.
After removing gallbladder your liver will still make enough bile to digest your food, but instead of being stored in the gallbladder, it drips continuously into your digestive system.
You may have been advised to eat a special diet before surgery, but this doesn't need to be continued afterwards.
It means removing gallbladder doesn't have any fatal risks.
Lipids will still be digested.
