Shaukat Khanum Hospital has made medical history by performing the youngest awake brain tumor surgery on a 6-year-old patient.
This achievement marks a milestone in pediatric neurosurgery and is reported as the youngest case in indexed medical literature.
The patient, from Mardan, had been suffering seizures since the age of 2 due to a tumor affecting the brain area responsible for left-side movement, which posed a risk of permanent damage.
