*MINUTES OF MEETING*
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Association of Allied Health Technologists (KPAAHT)

Participants: Executive members, faculty representatives, and Allied Health Professionals
👉The meeting is started with reciting of Holy Quran and president KPAAHT Officially welcome all members and officials. The following points are discussing and nexy meeting will be held in next month to revolve the progress on following points and tasks.
👉1. The service structure of Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) in the Health Department and Medical Teaching Institutions (MTIs) was discussed, including promotions, creation of new posts, grades, and career progression. The need for uniform service rules across institutions was emphasized, and letters to send from KPAAHT side to Council, DG Health and BoG Chairmans by Inam ullah sb within one month.
👉2. Registration of AHPs and allied health institutions with the Allied Health Council was discussed, including curriculum standardization, eligibility of principals and faculty, scope of work, job descriptions, and defined functions of AHPs within hospitals. KPAAHT will closely work with council for volunteer support and work.
👉3. Reporting lines and supervision of AHPs in both public and private hospitals were discussed, particularly the roles of doctors and nursing administration, with emphasis on the need for clear and documented reporting mechanisms, letters will be send to all official and also media posts on Facebook. Council will be requested to look after the issue.
👉4. Disparities and diffenece in salaries, grades, and promotion criteria were highlighted, especially in LRH, KMU, and IKD/HMC, and it was agreed that standardization across institutions is required. A meeting will be arranged with those institutions to resolve the issue of AHPs and soon a facebook post will be shared to give a message to relevant authorities.
👉5. Issues related to paid internships, scholarships, zero visits, faculty matters, licensing of institutions, and other allied health–related professional concerns were discussed in detail. And urgently a regional council office should have to resolve the issues, Anees Sb is requested to expedite work on it.
👉6. It was demanded that the Allied Health Council establish a regional office with adequate staff to effectively address professional and regulatory issues. KPAAHT will fully support the Council and act as a think tank.
👉7. It was decided that a schedule, official letters, and PowerPoint presentations for four institutions will be prepared by Attiq and shared with the WhatsApp group. Letters will be delivered personally by Iqbal Sahib and Sana Ullah Sahib to RMI, Sarhad, Northwest, City, abyseen university and IPMS. Meetings will be arranged with institutions, and faculty and students will be actively involved.
👉8. KPAAHT will support the formation of a joint working group comprising representatives from MTIs, faculty, and the Health Department to finalize scope of work, job descriptions, and maintain close liaison with the Allied Health Council.
👉9. It was agreed to request and conduct meetings with the Chief Minister, Health Minister, and Allied Health Council to present collective demands and recommendations, this task is assigned to Iqbal Sb and Kamran sb.
👉10. The role of AHPs in District Headquarter Hospitals (DHQs), Tehsil Headquarter Hospitals (THQs), and primary healthcare facilities was emphasized, and a structured framework will be developed and forwarded to the Government by Anees Sahib and Attiq.
👉11. Formal members for KPAAHT cabinet are nominated to make necessary arrangements for institutional visits, reactivation of the association, and formation of a new central cabinet.
👉12. Follow-up on service rules notifications and related court cases was assigned to Adeel.
👉13. It was decided that one social media post will be shared every two to three days to highlight the rights of AHPs and encourage wider participation and membership in KPAAHT.
