An exclusive training course for FCPS Part II trainees in Gynecology and Obstetrics was successfully held on April 30, 2026, at Peshawar Medical College. The session, conducted from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM, focused on Extended TOACS (Task-Oriented Assessment of Clinical Skills), aimed at enhancing clinical and examination skills of postgraduate trainees.

The course was organized by a distinguished team of faculty members including Prof. Dr. Tehniyat Ishaq Khattak, Prof. Dr. Samdana Wahab, and Associate Prof. Dr. Shandana Bawar.

Key topics covered during the session included short case scenarios in obstetrics and gynecology, perineal tear repair, labour room and gynae board discussions, CTG interpretation, urodynamics, and hands-on training in procedures such as hysterectomy techniques and stepwise devascularization.

The workshop provided participants with valuable practical exposure and interactive learning opportunities, helping them strengthen their clinical competence and preparedness for professional examinations. The initiative was well-received and highlighted the importance of structured training programs in medical education.
