The 20th International Pak HandsCon 2025 commenced with great enthusiasm at Khyber Medical College Peshawar, under the theme โ€œFoundations and Frontiers in Hand Surgery.โ€ The event brought together leading national and international experts in the field of hand and reconstructive microsurgery.

The opening session began with Tilawat-e-Quran, followed by the Presidential Address and Welcome Note delivered by Prof. Khalid Masood. Dr. Zafar Naqvi, representing FESSH, spoke on the collaboration between FESSH and PSSH, while Prof. Mahmud Aurangzeb, Dean KMC, addressed the gathering with his speech of encouragement. The inaugural lecture on โ€œAcademic Leadership and its Dilemmaโ€ was presented by Prof. Tahseen Cheema, setting the tone for a day filled with academic exchange and innovation.

The General Secretary of Pak Society for Surgery of the Hand, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Seraj, Consultant Orthopaedic Hand Surgeon, was highly appreciated by the Dean and distinguished speakers for his efforts in successfully organizing the landmark 20th International HandsCon in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. His dedication and leadership were commended by participants and guests of honour alike.

The scientific sessions covered cutting-edge topics in Complex Trauma and Microsurgery, including toe transfer for thumb reconstruction, microvascular small joint transfer, management of crush injuries, revascularization in limb saving, and super-microsurgical interventions for lymphedema. Eminent surgeons such as Prof. Mamoon Rasheed, Prof. Kamran Khalid, Dr. Imran Shahzad, Dr. Adnan Nazir, and Dr. Mansoor shared their expertise.

An engaging debate followed on โ€œPedicled Flaps vs. Free Flaps for Hand Reconstruction: Which Should Be the First Choice in Extensive Soft Tissue Loss?โ€ featuring Dr. Alamzaib and Dr. Hussnain.

The afternoon Session 3: Contemporary Strategies in the Management of Wrist and Tendon Trauma included a paper presentation segment where national and international presenters shared their work. Topics included:

Khyber Teaching Hospital bid a heartfelt farewell to ๐๐ซ๐จ๐Ÿ. ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐‡๐š๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฆ-๐ฎ๐-๐ƒ๐ข๐ง ๐€๐ณ๐š๐ฆ ๐Š๐ก๐š๐ง, Consultant of General Medicine at KTH, whose illustrious ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘-๐ฒ๐ž๐š๐ซ ๐œ๐š๐ซ๐ž๐ž๐ซ has been a beacon of knowledge, compassion, and dedication.

The day began with a warm welcome at Khyber Teaching Hospital, where the respected professor was received with flowers and heartfelt gratitude at 10:30 AM.

The occasion was marked by the inauguration of the ๐๐ซ๐จ๐Ÿ. ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐‡๐š๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฆ-๐ฎ๐-๐ƒ๐ข๐ง Learning Resource Centre (SLRC), a symbolic tribute to his lifelong service and contribution to medical education.

The celebrations continued at Khyber Medical College, where the faculty and students gathered in the mini auditorium to honor his remarkable journey. The event featured a bouquet presentation, expressing love and respect, followed by a plantation ceremony, signifying growth, legacy, and lasting impact.

The auditorium ceremony commenced with the recitation of the ๐‡๐จ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐š๐ง by ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐Œ๐ฎ๐ช๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ, setting a serene tone for the proceedings. The audience then took a nostalgic walk down memory lane through Video Part 1 โ€“ Early Life & KTH Days, followed by heartfelt speeches from ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐ˆ๐ง๐š๐ฆ, ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐™๐š๐ซ๐ข๐ง, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐…๐š๐ก๐š๐, each sharing admiration, gratitude, and stories of mentorship.

The second segment, Video Part 2 โ€“ Video Messages & Last Day Moments, carried messages of affection from colleagues, students, and friends.
