Khyber Teaching Hospital - MTI KTH Peshawar hosted the 2nd all Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Symposium of 𝐇𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐲 & 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭 at Mini Auditorium Khyber Medical College on 23rd December 2025, held under the theme: ‘The Journey of Hepatobiliary Surgery in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: From Challenges to Triumphs, Shaping the Future.’
𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐦𝐮𝐝 𝐀𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐳𝐞𝐛, Dean KMC graced the symposium as the Chief Guest, alongside 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐡 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐧, Chairperson of Surgery, as the Guest of honor. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐭𝐚𝐪 𝐀𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐝, Head of Department SCW, also joined the session and provided his valuable insights.
The Program Director 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐭. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐒𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐧, along with his team from Surgical C War,d didn't leave any stone unturned in making this symposium a success.
This symposium reflected not only the remarkable evolution of hepatobiliary surgery in our province but also the resilience, dedication, and multidisciplinary collaboration that have transformed hepatobiliary care from limited beginnings to growing centers of excellence.
The symposium brought together 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐏𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬, 𝐑𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬, & 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐬 from different public sector and private hospitals of Peshawar, all united by a shared goal to improve outcomes for patients with hepatobiliary disease through knowledge, teamwork, and vision for the future.
