A coordination meeting with all 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐬 was conducted to review Eid holiday arrangements and strengthen emergency preparedness at 𝐌𝐓𝐈-𝐊𝐡𝐲𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥.

Key discussions focused on ensuring adequate nursing staff coverage, preparation of duty rosters, uninterrupted emergency and essential services, availability of medicines and supplies, and maintaining effective interdepartmental coordination during the Eid holidays.

Special emphasis was placed on patient safety, infection control practices, quality healthcare delivery, and full operational readiness to manage any unforeseen emergencies throughout 𝐄𝐢𝐝-𝐮𝐥-𝐀𝐳𝐡𝐚.

A successful Basic Life Support (BLS) Training Workshop was conducted by NCS- University System Department of Health Sciences in collaboration with the Nursing Department of Khyber Teaching Hospital - MTI KTH Peshawar at the Khyber Medical College Auditorium.

The workshop provided hands-on training to nursing interns in essential life-saving skills, including BLS protocols, CPR techniques for adults and children, airway management, and emergency response procedures.

The session was facilitated by:

We acknowledge the successful organization of the symposium on "Ways to Detect Fetal Acidemia in Labour" by 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐭. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐬𝐦𝐚 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧, Gynae C Unit, KTH on 19th May 2026.

The symposium was facilitated by 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐭. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐬𝐦𝐚 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐳𝐫𝐚, TMO Gynae C Unit, and 𝐃𝐫. 𝐍𝐢𝐦𝐫𝐚, TMO Gynae C Unit.

It covered key intrapartum fetal monitoring skills including systematic CTG interpretation and fetal blood sampling, with active participation from postgraduate trainees, house officers, and faculty of Gynae C Unit.

The aim of this academic activity was to strengthen trainees’ ability to detect fetal acidemia during labour through timely CTG assessment.

This is directly aligned with the ongoing audit in Gynae C Unit, which focuses on reducing the caesarean section rate by improving decision-making in labour management.

We commend 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐭. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐬𝐦𝐚 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 for her initiative in organizing this symposium, and appreciate the valuable contributions of Dr. Azra and Dr. Nimra as facilitators.

Their dedication to postgraduate teaching and commitment to evidence-based practice is highly commendable.

An 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 for KTH Nursing Staff was conducted at Khyber Medical College on 19th May 2026, with the participation of 𝟖𝟎 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬. The session featured interactive training on essential nursing practices and patient care management.

The initiative aimed to strengthen clinical skills, enhance patient safety practices, and promote quality healthcare delivery.
