آپریشن تھیٹر،
ابتدائی دور میں جب ڈاکٹر کسی مریض کا آپریشن کرتے تو اس کے ساتھ بالکونی نما چھت پر مریض کے لواحقین اور میڈیکل اسٹوڈنٹس اس آپریشن کو کسی تھیٹر کی طرح دیکھ رہے ہوتے تھے، اسی مماثلت کی بنا پر اس جگہ کا نام مستقل طور پر آپریشن تھیٹر پڑ گیا۔
آج کل ہسپتالوں میں آپریشن تھیٹر نہیں آپریشن روم ہوتے ہیں۔
