Class II Malocclusion Managed Without Surgery – A Pro Bono Orthodontic Case

This patient presented with Class II malocclusion and declined orthognathic surgery at a stage when she could not afford orthodontic treatment alone. Considering her circumstances, treatment was provided pro bono, prioritizing function, esthetics, and dignity.

The case was managed using fixed orthodontic appliances, upper first premolar extractions, and en-masse retraction of anterior teeth to correct overjet and dental alignment through orthodontic camouflage.

For comprehensive care, the patient was referred to a restorative dentist for crowning of a root-treated upper right central incisor.
