Day 3 at the WFH World Congress 2026 concluded with final remarks from the World Federation of Hemophilia and the Malaysian Hemophilia Society, along with key corner meetings. Mr. Syed Shabistan, on behalf of Hemophilia Patients Welfare Society - Peshawar Chapter, met with the WFH President and Regional Manager for the Middle East to discuss continuity of hemophilia care & government advocacy in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. WFH acknowledged the Peshawar Chapter services for the bleeding disorders community & its ongoing efforts toward a sustainable solution through government advocacy.

Abdul Samad, a 20yrs old living with severe Hemophilia A, walked into a life threatening situation after a road accident left him with serious injuries to his neck, head & hands, legs & lower back. What could have turned tragic took a different path.

Within hour, the Hemophilia Patients Welfare Society (HPWS) – Peshawar stepped in and ensured immediate access to clotting factor concentrates. That timely care made all the difference. Over the next 10 days, Mr. Samad steadily recovered, something that once felt uncertain.

Today, he stands safe & grateful. His recovery reflects what coordinated care & support can do when it reaches patients at the right moment. Programs like the WFH Humanitarian Aid initiative continue to quietly save lives like his every day.

Samad extends heartfelt thanks to HPWS – Peshawar, Hemophilia Foundation Hemophilia Foundation - Pakistan & the World Federation of Hemophilia for standing by him when it mattered most.

Day 2 of the wraps up with another day of meaningful learning and collaboration. Productive corner meetings were held with WFH, SOL, NNHF & Roche at both country & chapter levels. Mr. Syed Shabistan represented HPWS – Peshawar, engaging in one-on-one discussions to strengthen impact for the bleeding disorders community of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

For the first time, HPWS Peshawar is participating in the World Federation of Hemophilia World Congress 2026, marking an important step in our journey to represent and advocate for people with bleeding disorders on a global platform. Mr. Syed Shabistan, President & Founder of HPWS - Peshawar, is representing the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa community on international platforms.

As a recognized chapter of Hemophilia Foundation Hemophilia Foundation - Pakistan, affiliated with the World Federation of Hemophilia, this participation reflects our growing role and commitment to international standards, collaboration, and patient support.
