The World Federation of Hemophilia [WFH] recently convened a significant three-day workshop in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The workshop focused on *Inhibitor Management and Novel Therapies.* Hematologists and expert Health Care Professionals [HCPs] from over ten countries participated in this workshop for the purpose to exchange knowledge, treatment advancements, and future strategies for enhancing care for People with Hemophilia [PWH] and PWBDs.
We express our sincere appreciation to the WFH and Hemophilia Foundation Pakistan [HFP] for their efforts in enabling the participation of Dr. Fakhar Zaman from Hemophilia Patients Welfare Society Peshawar [HPWS-Peshawar] in this important workshop. Dr. Fakhar is among the founding members of the Peshawar Chapter. His presentation was highly valuable, particularly as it represented the *first participation of an HCP from the Peshawar Chapter at an international event.*
During his presentation, Dr. Fakhar shared the ongoing efforts in Pakistan and specifically by the Peshawar Chapter to raise awareness, early diagnosis, treatment availability windows and advocacy for the rights of individuals living with Hemophilia and other PwBDs. He also presented a Case-Study and tremendous improvement of a PwH after shifting him on Emicizumab.
This global exchange of knowledge represents a crucial step towards developing better treatment options, improving patient outcomes, and strengthening the international support network for these conditions.
HPWS-Peshawar remains committed to its mission and anticipates that the WFH will continue to provide such opportunities to its HCPs and Community Members. This support is essential to elevate the standards of care, treatment, and innovative approaches for the optimal benefit of PwH and PWBDs.
