یہ حکومت کیسے کاروبار کو تباہ کرنے جا رہی ہے اس کی چھوٹی سی مثال ملاحظہ فرمائیں. نظر کی عینکوں کے عام فریم جو غریب لوگ لیتے ہیں اور شوق سے نہیں مجبوری سے لیتے ہیں، وہ آج کل 400 سے 500 کا ملتا ہے اور شیشے کے ساتھ پوری عینک جو 800 سے 1000 کی بن جاتی تھی اب نئے بجٹ کے بعد اس پہ ٹیکس عائد کیا جا رہا ہے اور ان صرف عام فریم پر کم از کم ٹیکس 420 روپے لگے گا جبکہ برینڈ کاپیز جو پہلے 2000 تک ملتی تھی اب ان پر صرف ٹیکس ہی 2500 کا پڑے گا. اس کا نتیجہ یہ نکلے گا کے عینک کی کم از کم قیمت 2000 تک چلی جائے گی تو کیا اس مہنگائی میں پسی قوم یہ قیمت برداشت کر سکتی ہے بالکل نہیں. میں نے اپنے مختصر سے اس شعبے کے کاروباری دور میں کئی لوگوں کو مجبور و لاچار دیکھا ہے جو 500 کی عینک بھی افورڈ نہیں کر سکتے تھے. خدا کے لیے اس عوام کو کچھ سکھ کا سانس لینے دیں. اپنی نا اہلیوں کا بوجھ اس غریب عوام پر نا ڈالیں اپنی آمدن کے کوئی اور زرائع ڈھونڈیں نا کے غریب عوام کا خون چوس کر اور ٹیکس کے پہاڑ کے ساتھ،
اپنی لوکل انڈسٹری کو فروغ دیں، اپنی برآمدات بڑھائیں. آپ تو چھوٹے کاروباریوں کو بھی برباد کر رہے ہیں، اس ظلم کے بعد کافی امکان ہے کہ لوگ کاروبار چھوڑ جائیں گے. اس کے علاوہ باقی کاروبار کے ساتھ بھی یہ ظلم ہوا ہے

Higher IOP, Altered Corneal Biomechanics Found in Overweight and Obese Children

Such distinctions may make these individuals more prone to developing glaucoma in the long-term, researchers suggest, although no anatomical evidence was found at present.

Despite the well-established association of obesity with ocular conditions like ocular hypertension/glaucoma, premature cataract and age-related maculopathy, its impact on corneal biomechanics and IOP values remains less explored, especially in pediatric populations. By addressing these research gaps, researchers can gain valuable insights into the relationship between obesity and ocular parameters, ultimately contributing to the enhanced understanding and management of obesity-related ocular conditions in pediatric patients.

In a recent study published in Journal of Glaucoma, a team in Turkey investigated the effect of obesity on corneal biomechanics as measured by Ocular Response Analyzer (ORA; Reichert), retinal nerve fiber (RNFL) layer and central macular thickness in children. They found that higher Goldmann-correlated IOP, corneal hysteresis and corneal resistance factor values suggest that obese children could be potential candidates for glaucoma.

This prospective, cross-sectional, comparative study evaluated 146 eyes of normal-weight, overweight and obese children between the ages of six and 17 (43 boys and 30 girls). Mean age among the three groups was 12.5, 13.2 and 13.5, respectively. BMI percentile was found to be 44.5%, 88.8% and 98.7%, respectively.
