On 17th February 2026, a session from the ongoing Series of Dictated Lectures under the umbrella of the Department of Medicine was successfully conducted at the Medical & Surgical Building. The session was chaired by Dr. Atta Muhammad Khan, Associate Professor of Medicine, LRH.
The keynote lecture was delivered by Dr. Muhammad Zaib, Assistant Professor of Medicine, on the topic “Lifestyle Modification in the Management of Diabetes Mellitus.” The presentation comprehensively highlighted evidence-based strategies for optimizing glycemic control through non-pharmacological interventions and emphasized their practical application in routine clinical practice.
A large number of Medicine PGRs attended the session, reflecting strong academic engagement and enthusiasm. The occasion was graced by Dr. Riaz HOD Plastic Surgery, ADPGME, who appreciated the initiative and commended the Department of Medicine for sustaining a vibrant academic culture. He specifically acknowledged the efforts of Dr. Atta Muhammad Khan, Dr. Muhammad Zaib, and the Medicine faculty for organizing a session of high educational value.
The activity was very well received by the participants, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive and encouraging. This session forms part of the Department’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence, continuous professional development, and the promotion of evidence-based medical practice.
