فالج (Stroke) اب معذوری کی مستقل سزا نہیں — اگر مریض بروقت ہسپتال پہنچ جائے تو جدید علاج سے فالج کے اثرات کو کافی حد تک واپس پلٹایا جا سکتا ہے۔
پاکستان میں Acute Stroke Intervention کو منظم انداز میں متعارف کرانے اور فروغ دینے میں میرے محترم استاد Dr. Asim Javed کا کردار نہایت نمایاں ہے۔ ان کی انتھک محنت، تربیت اور وژن کی بدولت آج یہ سہولت پنجاب کے متعدد مراکز میں دستیاب ہے، جبکہ خیبر پختونخوا میں PIC, HMC اور LRH میں بھی یہ علاج میسر ہے۔
انہوں نے RIC Rawalpindi سمیت ملک کے مختلف مراکز میں ٹیمیں تربیت دے کر پاکستان بھر میں اس سہولت کے فروغ میں کلیدی کردار ادا کیا۔
یہ مختصر مگر نہایت اہم آگاہی ویڈیو فالج کی علامات، بروقت پہچان، اور ایسے جدید علاج کے بارے میں ہے جو نہ صرف جان بچا سکتا ہے بلکہ معذوری کو بھی کم یا واپس پلٹانے کا سبب بن سکتا ہے۔

Stroke is no longer a permanent sentence to disability — if a patient reaches the hospital in time, modern stroke treatment can significantly reverse its effects.
My mentor, Dr. Asim Javed, has played a pioneering role in developing and expanding Acute Stroke Intervention in Pakistan. Through his vision, training, and relentless efforts, this life-saving treatment is now available in multiple centers across Punjab, and in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at PIC, HMC, and LRH.
By training teams at RIC Rawalpindi and several other institutions, he has helped build and expand stroke intervention services across Pakistan.
This short but extremely important awareness video highlights the warning signs of stroke, the importance of early recognition, and modern treatments that can save lives and reverse disability.
